Time-Off Tracker

Build an internal tool for my team: "Time-Off Tracker".

The problem: I can never tell who's out next week until they're already gone.
Who uses it: a team of 5–100 people.

What it should do:
- Team calendar: Month view of the whole team's time off, including public holidays.
- Who's out: Today and next week, at the top of the page.
- Request time off: Pick dates, add a note, and the manager approves with one click.
- Allowance: Days used and remaining for each person, per year.

Data:
- Person { name, team, manager, annual_allowance }
- Leave { person_id, starts_on, ends_on, type, status }

Constraints:
- Built for one team inside one company. Simple sign-in (or none), no billing, no multi-tenant setup.
- Fast, calm and obvious enough that teammates need zero training.
- Data must persist and be shared across the team.
- Ship the simplest version that works, then tell me what you'd add next.
